Privacy Policy

TabGenius is built so that we cannot see your browsing even if we wanted to. This policy explains exactly what the extension does with data, in plain language.

What TabGenius can access

The extension uses Chrome's tab APIs to read tab titles, URLs, and group membership so it can organize, search, snooze, and save your tabs. It requests no access to the content of web pages, injects no scripts into the sites you visit, and cannot read anything you type or view on a page.

Where your data lives

• Saved sessions, snoozed tabs, settings, and usage statistics are stored in your browser's local extension storage on your device.
• If you enable session sync, sessions are mirrored through Chrome's built-in sync storage, which is part of your Google browser profile. We never see this data.
• The on-device AI grouping feature uses Gemini Nano, which runs inside Chrome on your computer. Tab titles processed by the AI never leave your device.
• Usage statistics shown in the Weekly Report are computed and stored locally and are automatically deleted after 30 days.

What leaves your device

• License checks: the extension contacts ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com) to check whether you have purchased Pro or started a trial. This involves a randomly generated key and, if you pay, the email address you provide at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details.
• Shared sessions: if and only if you click Share on a saved session, the tab titles and URLs of that session are uploaded to our server (tabgenius.flowtasks.io, hosted on Cloudflare) so the link can be viewed by people you send it to. Shared sessions expire and are deleted automatically after 180 days. Do not share sessions containing links you consider private.
• Shared session pages: when someone views a shared link, the page loads website icons from Google's public favicon service to display the list nicely.

What we never do

• No analytics or tracking scripts, in the extension or on shared pages.
• No selling, renting, or sharing of any data with third parties.
• No advertising and no profiling.
• No collection of browsing history.

Data removal

Uninstalling the extension deletes all locally stored data. To remove a shared session link before its automatic expiry, or for any other privacy request, email support@flowtasks.io with the link and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date.
